This weekend sees the launch of new exhibition at Boojum and Snark art gallery in Sandown.
The Hunting of the Snark features the work of twelve artists including music, photography, puppetry, painting and flags.
Each artist was invited to respond Lewis Carroll’s epic nonsense poem The Hunting of the Snark (THOTS) which he wrote whilst on holiday in Sandown.
From what we’ve heard of the submissions, the results are pretty fantastic.
There’ll be works on offer by Julian Winslow, Ergo Phizmiz, Birgitte Haahr Lund, Garry Whitehead, Michael Forrest, Nicola Killeen, Elaine McCracken, Laura Meredith, Aaron Fletcher, Chris Jenkins and Jo Hummel-Newell.
The exhibition starts on Saturday and runs throughout the summer.
The gallery is open Friday, Saturday and Sundays 10am-4pm.
