The 2013 autumn season for Cafe Scientifique kicks off tonight (Monday) with Dr Oscar Martinez-Alvarado, a researcher at Reading University where he is a member of a research group linked to the Met Office.
He’ll be talking about the weather patterns of the North Atlantic and their impact upon our weather.
As usual the meeting takes place in the Regency Suite, above the Conservative Club in Shanklin in Palmerston Road, just off the High Street.
A donation of at least £3 on the door is required to ensure the group covers all expenses.
The bar will be open and the talk starts at 7pm sharp.
