There’s Loads Going On At Ventnor Library

As well as the usual book and DVD lending at Ventnor Library did you know, there are lots of other things taking place there.

Photo by Emma PowellFor example, have you see the exhibition of photography by Emma Powell?

Or how about the Longdown Banner on display in the Children’s Library – made by children at the Jubilee party.

Woolly Minded Gardening Club
Every week at 3pm on Wednesdays, we welcome the Woolly Minded Gardening Club’s and currently have a display of the project so far.

Tuesday evenings see the Random Scribblers – our own writing circle, African Drummers and the Women’s Meditation Group. Contact Elizabeth on [email protected] or pop in for more detail!

Our Reading Group meets every fourth Wednesday evening, we are reading the Luminous Life of Lilly Aphrodite at the moment.

Community support
Don’t forget the Friends of Ventnor Library support group which organises events to raise money for projects in the Library.

If you are unemployed checkout the daily list of job opportunities and on Friday mornings take advantage of our free internet access for those CVs and applications.

We are also preparing for the children’s Summer Reading Challenge – this year StoryLab – which will also see us having puppet workshops, and storytelling including a very special “aboriginal” workshop with a didgeridoo!
