Last weekend, The Wildlife Trust replaced the ‘unauthorised works’ notices on the re-patched section of Undercliff Drive.
The original notice was placed by the side of the road the weekend before. It read,

Awaiting independent assessment
Volunteers who re-patched the section of landslipped road are still awaiting the outcome of the independent survey commissioned by the Isle of Wight Executive. There are hopes the assessment of the re-patched road could result in it being reopened to the landlocked residents.
