It’s always good to hear pleasant things said about the Isle of Wight … even more so when it’s a world-famous singer.
Tom Jones was over on the Island for the Festival, and in his chatting to the press session there, said some lovely things about the Isle of Wight.
“It’s a beautiful Island,” the man who still makes women (and some men), go weak at the knees told NME, “I’ve never been to the Isle of Wight – which I’ve always wanted to do, but never got around to it – so I’m killing two birds with one stone. It’s a lovely excuse to come here and sing some songs.”
Tom’s Chopper
Tom got a view of the Island that even most Island haven’t had – from a helicopter, “I came in my helicopter today, so I saw it from the air, which is great,” he told the BBC.
Tom played the Big Top on Saturday night.
