The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has today released its latest list of the most popular baby names in England and Wales throughout 2013.
It doesn’t break down to as close as just the Isle of Wight, with the Island sitting within the South East, we’ve brought you that data.
Popularity in South East vs England compared
The Island’s top ten girls’ names pretty closely match that of the whole of England, with the only major difference being Ava at position five across the UK, but not featuring in the SE top ten.
The boys’ list is the same as that across England, but with the order of them being different. The big gainer across England was Oscar, which rose ten places in popularity.
