Andrew Turner, has welcomed the news today that the Planning Inspector has given Wightlink the go ahead to undertake the necessary works to improve the Lymington shoreside facilities to accommodate the new “W Class†ferries.
Isle of Wight council leader, Jonathan Bacon, has written to the pro-fixed link campaign group to express his personal support for an independent feasibility study into a fixed link between the Isle of Wight and mainland Britain.
The group is keen to hear your views on using Wightlink Ferries and seems to have been more successful than the longer-running Better Ferry Campaign in gathering support on Facebook.
