TwitVoteUK: Online Innovation Started On The Island

Have you noticed that there’s a lot of smart people living on the Isle of Wight?

TwitVoteUK: Online Innovation Started On The IslandSome of the clever sticks that live here work in technology.

One of them, Kieron Brear, had a rather neat idea a while back – to take a different approach to gathering and displaying people voting intentions for the election.

The result – TwitVoteUK.

Using it is easy
To use it, people simply enter their postcode and their voting intention and the whizzy Website goes off and does the rest.

Don’t worry, your individual voting intentions aren’t displayed on the Website, they’re gathered together into the voting constituency and displayed as a summary of which party might get how many votes.

Twitter updates too
Not only that, but to remain automatically up to date with how the declared voting intentions for your area are going, you can receive a daily update via Twitter.

Quality
This project has brought together quite a few south of England tech-heads to give their free time to the collective good.

It’s mighty professional and extremely well-executed.

Use it
We encourage you to use it TwitVoteUK. Looks like the Island has got a lot of catching up to do, vote wise.
