The Ventnor Exchange team have two openings for paid Kickstart placements, for a minimum of six months, with all training provided.
The opportunities are open to any 16-24 year old currently claiming Universal Credit.
‘Kickstart’ scheme
The Government launched the ‘Kickstart’ scheme in 2020 to provide new jobs for young people to build up their skills and experience levels, and be a stepping stone into further employment. The scheme is run by DWP and your local job centre will be able to talk you through the eligibility criteria.
Ventnor Exchange wanted to make the most of this opportunity to train two young people during six month paid placements.
