Food hygiene inspectors on the Isle of Wight have been busy rating hotels, restaurants, shops and food trucks in the last couple of months.
Each eatery or food-producing business on the Island is awarded a score of zero to five, based on how hygienic facilities and conditions are and their food handling practices and procedures.
Where five is the best, and zero could lead to serious consequences, officers from the Isle of Wight Council’s environmental health team inspect premises for the safety of those who eat their or consume their food.
