VB Flickr Group: 2nd Picture of the Week

We did say at the beginning of the week that we may have more than one choice of Picture of the Week and we’ve just found our second. OK it’s not of the Island, but does have a loose connection.

VB Flickr Group: 2nd Picture of the WeekThe glass surrounded spiral stairway at 1936 De la Ware Pavilion in Bexhill on Sea may well have been the inspiration for the Island architects, EC Cooper and AD Clare who designed and built the Ventnor Winter Gardens in the same year.

We’re sure you’ll agree that VB Flickr Group member ping pong 365 has captured the beauty and elegance of the staircase in this shot.

Wouldn’t it be fabulous if the Winter Gardens could have it’s spiral staircase returned to it’s former glory?

Check out the other new shots on the VB Flickr Group Pool.

I stumbled across this again on a google search. Holly’s got well over two thousand subscribers now, and the number is growing rapidly. She’s making quite a splash across the world on YouTube!

Make that just over 2500 subscribers now Tim. I hear that Holly will be playing at the Quay Arts Centre’s Kashmir Cafe at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival too. I’m really disappointed that I’m not going. :-(

Almost 3000 subscribers now, and approaching a million views of her videos in total. A million views! It seems that Holly’s making a huge impression across the world. I wonder when the IOW will notice that they have one of Britain’s most popular online performers in their midst…
