Once again Vectis Radio was awarded the bronze in The Station of the Year category, confirming its position as a leading community radio station.
Community Impact
The accolades didn’t stop there; the 4PS Radio Training School also received a Silver Award in the Community Impact category for its ten years of helping young people by using radio.
Sage of the Year

Mac: 23 top-three placements
Reflecting on these remarkable achievements, Ian Mac, Station Manager and a proud member of the small Vectis Radio team, remarked,
“Since we first launched on FM in late 2017, we’ve achieved an incredible 37 CRA nominations, with 23 top-three placements:
- 5 Golds
- 11 Silvers
- 7 Bronzes
“This is an extraordinary achievement, especially considering the size of our team, the scale of our setup, and our tight budget.
“As one of just four community radio stations in the UK capped at £15,000 annually for advertising and sponsorship revenue, we are truly punching above our weight.”
Currie: Honoured to be part of such a dedicated team
Vectis Radio Director, Kelvin Currie, added,
“I am honoured to be part of such a dedicated team of volunteers who go above and beyond to help the station achieve more.
“Getting the station and the team recognised by the radio industry nationally, underlines their hard work.
“This is a success for Vectis Radio, once again putting the Isle of Wight on the national map. Particular thanks from me to Ian Mac who got us into this in the first place, and his vision has guided us ever since.”
