It’s Ventnor Carnival week and today sees the arrival of not only the children’s parade, but also the grand Carnival Parade and fireworks.
If your planning to take part in either procession take note of the times below and make sure that you arrive in good time to be judged by the panel from the Carnival Committee.
Children’s Parade
Assemble in Dudley Road at 1.45 for 2pm start. Procession will lead through town and off to Ventnor Park for crowning of the Carnival Queens.
Grand Carnival Parade
Floats to assemble in Dudley Road at 5.30pm for a 7pm start.
The route will be along Pier Street, Church Street, Belgrave Road and onto Park Avenue to finish at Ventnor Park.
After parties
There will be BBQs at the Volunteer and Winter Gardens.
Fireworks sponsored by The Spyglass Inn and Met Bar will be providing lots of ooohs and ahhhhs from 9pm on the seafront.
