This year’s event was a great success. Opened in true Ventnor-style by Ventnor Comic Jazz Band and Abbi Cleaver, Ventnor Carnival Queen. The Comic Jazz Band were performing at their first event after playing as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.
There were lots of stalls representing local and Island-wide charities and community groups – including two donkeys from Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary and lots of art and craft stalls on the Putting Green and in the Park.
The event was organised by Ventnor Town Council and Ventnor Carnival Association – with help from many volunteers to ensure that the day ran smoothly.
The Bandstand Stage featured music from Rhi Rhi, Amy Joliffe, Lucan, Toby Ouston, Greg and The Bears, The Hillmans, with Dick Taylor, and the Ventnor Darlings.
The Putting Green hosted performances by Bethan John, Moonshine Border Morris, Ventnor Ukulele Group, Bella Bea and Emilia.
The two stages were managed by Greg Barnes and Bethan John.
