Ventnor Fringe Festival: Support the festival by becoming a member for £20 per annum

OnTheWight has been a strong supporter of the Ventnor Fringe Festival from its very beginnings way back in 2010, so we’re chuffed to hear that it’s continuing to go from strength to strength. With the support of the community we hope it will around for many years to come. Ed

Since 2010 the Ventnor Fringe has brought hundreds of artists to Ventnor as well as showcased the best of our local talent with our unique ‘open access’ event.

We’ve built and created ‘pop up’ venues and transformed spaces all over the town to host these intimate shows and this year will be no different with, by far, our most diverse and exciting programme to date.

There are currently almost daily updates on our website with new acts being announced at www.vfringe.co.uk.

Run independently by students
Developed and produced for the past three years entirely by a team of students alongside full time study we’re really proud of the Fringe and its contribution to Ventnor’s growing reputation as a creative and artistic hub.

It’s been produced entirely independently with just 3% of the cost of the event raised through grant funding or subsidy.

Permanent base needed
However, as the event has grown it’s no longer possible for us to work with no base, and in order for us continue developing the festival as well a programme of events throughout the year we’re looking to create a year round space for us to work from.

With this, we believe we can develop something very special here in Ventnor.

Membership scheme relaunched
To raise the final funds we need, we’re re-launching our successful membership scheme offering a whole range of exciting benefits and exclusive opportunities for just £20 a year.

What’s more, In addition to accessing all of these great offers you’ll be helping us create a home for the festival.

Box Office and record store
A new Box Office offering it’s services to local events, a record store with vinyl from all of our favourite artists and labels and a new social space to meet like minded creatives all year round with talks, debates and workshops providing a focus for all of our activities and work.

We’ve always been keen to keep things intimate and we want to get to know all of the people who are kind enough to support us so there are just 300 places available on a first come, first served basis and then that’s it.
