Ventnor Fringe to sell hundreds of tickets for just £1 next month

Ventnor Fringe, the Isle of Wight’s award winning arts festival, has announced it will be making hundreds of tickets available for just £1 next month (December 2025).

The event, which was first founded by a group of local teenagers and has grown into a key date on the Island’s calendar, has announced it will be returning from 17th-26th July 2026.

Whitewood: We want to make sure everyone can enjoy the Fringe
Festival Co-Director, Jack Whitewood, explained,

“We want to make sure everyone can enjoy the Fringe, and this is one of the ways we’re working to put that belief into real action, along of course with a huge range of free events.”

Participating shows going on sale next month
The discounted tickets will be supported by Ventnor Exchange, with participating shows going on sale next month.

Tickets will be limited and expected to sell fast, so those interested are urged to sign up to the festival’s newsletter or follow the event on socials to be alerted when tickets go on sale.

Application open for artists
Applications have also opened for artists interested in bringing work to the festival.

Performers of all kinds are encouraged to apply via the website by March 2026.

Record-breaking attendance
In 2025 Ventnor Fringe celebrated record breaking attendance with nearly 13,000 ticket sales to over 130 shows spanning comedy, theatre, circus and dance.

Notable acts testing new work included Simon Brodkin, Geoff Norcott and Sam Nicoresti who went on to win the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award.
