Ventnor Fringe: Tom The Lion plays Christmas concert

Following the news last week that the Ventnor Fringe Festival will return in 2013, a last concert of 2012 has been announced. Ed

With winter fast approaching the Ventnor Fringe is pleased to reveal plans for a very special Christmas Concert on Saturday 8th December at St Catherine’s Church.

It will feature a rare headline performance from the elusive Tom The Lion, a young Londoner tipped for big things ahead of the release of his début album scheduled early next year.

Refreshing mystique
With previous releases (complied into a beautiful wooden CD Box set) available only at Rough Trade, he has not courted any critical attention, maintaining a refreshing mystique.

Despite this, early tracks were played by both Huw Stephens and Rob da Bank on Radio 1 and a Maida Vale Session was broadcast in May 2011.

Last 2012 show
Aside from a headline performance in London this winter promoted by Communion, the record label founded by among others Ben Lovett of Mumford and Sons, his visit to the Isle of Wight will be his only remaining live show planned for this year.
