Ventnor lights up for Carnival procession and seafront fireworks

Last updated:

The weather may have turned wet and grey today (Tuesday), but sunshine is forecast in Ventnor on Wednesday, just in time for the annual Carnival.

Community groups and schools have been hard at work, preparing floats and costumes for the parade.

Where and when
The main carnival procession starts from Dudley Road at 7pm, travels up Pier Street, along the High Street, down Madeira Road, right into St Catherine Street, into Dudley Road and up Pier Street again, before heading along to the Park.

Don’t miss the fireworks
Following the parade, spectators will be treated to a spectacular display of fireworks on the seafront.

From 9pm head towards to seafront to see the grand fireworks display – always a great show of light above the water.

Support for fireworks
This year’s firework display has been organised and paid for by The Spyglass Inn; The Smoking Lobster; The Met; The Mill Bay Inn; Ventnor Winter Gardens; Ventnor Town Council; Lady Scarlett’s Tearoom; Golden Sands; Longshoreman’s Museum; Blake’s Longshoremen; Besty and Spinky’s and Ventnor Haven.

Many thanks to you all!
