Three of the Vestas Boys on the Balcony had a meeting with three senior members of the Isle of Wight Council today.
Along with Cllr Geoff Lumley who organised the meeting, Mark Flowers, Mark Smith and Mike Godley all ex-Vestas workers met council leader David Pugh, Chief exec Steve Beynon, and cabinet member George Brown.
We met up with the boys straight afterwards and they said thought the meeting had gone well and were encouraged by the positive noises the IWC were making.
There are moves to attract other wind turbine manufacturers to the Island to preserve the lost green Vestas jobs and possibly grow the area.
