Vestas Sit-In: Day 15 Report From The InsideAfter another day of apprehension waiting for the results to get back from the court, we are finally able to settle again and decide what to do next.

We realised for the first time that the group vote system we had been using was not applicable, as from day one it was obvious it was a personal decision to stay or go.

Four people left and six remain. The six of us in here have been determined from the start to be here until we are removed. After the way the company has treated us, we are going to make them go down the relevant channels to get us out.

With no Jobs or redundancy pay, it is obvious there is no carrot on the stick to make us leave. Family and prior engagements are the only weakness and when your family and close friends are telling you to stay put, there is only one thing for us to do. Keep raising the issue.

We all know this cause is bigger than ourselves by the way things have snowballed. Just yesterday I got a phone call at 5.30am from a group telling us they had occupied venture quays, the other Vestas factory in solidarity with us and are fighting for our reinstatement.

We continue to receive messages of support for our cause from all over the country and even internationally. The influx of text messages, phone calls and emails has not slowed from the start and continues to build speed.

The next step for us, as we are unsure of our day of eviction, is to call for a bigger rally and march on Saturday at one o’clock St Thomas square Newport and we ask anyone able to attend to come down and show your support.

Following that a national day of action on Wednesday where we call on businesses and individuals to do anything they feel comfortable doing to show support and solidarity with our struggle. We are not sure, but we may be out and joining everyone on the front line. All is down to Vestas following correct procedures.

Thanks for your interest.
