The Mission HallAlphaMummy is one of the most popular blogs attached to The Times newspaper and the Lifestyle editor of Times Online, Jennifer Howze, has added Vintage Vacations’ The Mission Hall as one of the eight best places to stay or visit during the February half term.

Already featured on one of our sister sites (christmas. onthewight. com) The Mission Hall has clearly been attracting a lot of media interest.

Of course, each time it does the Isle of Wight gets another publicity boost all thanks to the efforts of Helen and Fraser of Vintage Vacations. Well done to you both and we hope The Mission Hall (which we fell instantly in love with when we toured last year) is the success it deserves to be.

Btw, Chale Green Stores and the Real Island Food Company get a nice plug in the article too.

Many thanks to Wendy V for spotting this and letting us know.

The RAF took considerable amounts of photo’s of the Islands south coast, starting from the mid-thirties onwards. They are available from the English Heritage photographic library in Swindon.
Could be worth a phone call.

We were guests at the Mission Hall over the weekend – it is a triumph! – stylish, spacious & with a great sensitivity to the history of the place & the building. Huge congratulations to Helen & Frazer for taking on this monumental project & raising the profile of the Island. Long may they continue to add their subtle but beautifully thoughtful style to the Islands hospitality… Read more »
