Volunteer at Ventnor Fringe Festival and become part of the Fringe Family

Ventnor Fringe Festival is just a few weeks away now and so it’s an ideal time to think about getting involved and becoming part of the Fringe family.

Co-Director of the Festival Mhairi Macaulay shares details of volunteering offers and what they bring. Ed

Ventnor Fringe would simply not be possible without the support of many dedicated volunteers who travel from near and far to be part of the festival family and ensure the event runs safely and smoothly.

There are many roles to choose from whilst volunteering with us at the Fringe from box office administration, event stewarding, to technical support, marketing and site build and creative.

Have fun, gain experience and make friends
We want to make sure that all our volunteers are able to enjoy their time whilst working with us at the festival, and have the opportunity to see some great events as well as gain experience and in many cases make new friends for life!

We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds, and we’re able to help provide accommodation for those who need it.

Amy: One of the greatest decisions I’ve made
Volunteer Amy said,

“When volunteering at The Ventnor Fringe you completely immerse yourself in the celebration of all art forms, meeting the kindest and most talented people you could imagine all in the most amazing town.

“Giving my time to The Fringe was one of the greatest decisions I’ve made, it’s my favourite week of the year and I have a family there for life.”

Get involved
If you’d like to get involved and help out at this year’s Ventnor Fringe Festival head over to the Fringe Website to register.

In the meantime, you can also hear from other volunteers who have gained much from getting involved.
