Walk the Wight 2021: It’s not too late to register for one of the five routes

Mountbatten’s largest fundraising event, Walk the Wight, returns to the Island in less than two weeks.

Thousands are expected to take part in one of the four walks on offer and although online registration for a fundraising pack has closed, you can still register for the walk.

The only difference is that Mountbatten will not be able to send your walker number and T-shirt in the post to you. However, you’ll be able to collect them from your chosen starting line instead.

Five routes
Depending on your ability and fitness level, there are five routes across the Isle of Wight to choose from:

  • Full walk – Bembridge to Alum Bay- 26 Miles
  • First half – Bembridge to Newport – 12 miles
  • Second half – Newport to Alum Bay – 14 miles
  • Flat walk – Sandown to Newport – 8 miles
  • Schools walk – Freshwater Bay to Alum Bay – 4 miles
