Warriors intent on winning tonight’s South Coast battle

Bryn shares this latest news from the Wightlink Warriors. Ed

The Wight Warriors intend winning tonight’s south coast battle at the Andrew Younie Smallbrook stadium when they clash with the Eastbourne IT First Eagles in a National League fixture and then join their fans celebrations.

Their Sussex opponents, who currently lie third in the league table, will arrive confident of victory but the Warriors have other ideas and fully intend to clip the Eagles’ wings and take the three league points.

It’ll be a real party atmosphere from start to finish tonight with the theme throughout the evening from start to finish being very much Caribbean and that includes the Isle of Wight’s amazing reggae star Derek Sandy singing live, so a Warriors victory will add added spice to the jerk chicken.

Needless to say with a great local derby against Eastbourne, who are likely to have many of their fans present cheering them on, everyone is urged to arrive early with the gates opening at 5.30pm.

Adult admission is £11, kids 16 and under are admitted free and there’s free sweets awaiting them Wight Snack Shack, William & Wilbur will be up to all sorts of antics, there’s a hula hoop competition, bike displays, pit access for half an hour commencing at 5.45pm, riders signing autographs, the track shop, great food outlets and bars as well as fifteen edge of your seat speedway races, the first being at 7pm, on their highly-tuned 500cc motorbikes with no brakes with our Warriors aiming to defeat the Eagles and a family fun packed caribbean atmosphere as mentioned earlier, it’s a night not to be missed!
