Bad news hits the VB grapevine as we hear that one of our favourite Island bands, Thee Waxworks, have reduced down from four to two members.
We’ve been listening to tracks by the Island’s very own swamp voodoo blues band this week in anticipation of their performance at tomorrow’s Riverfest event in Newport.
Ian Read one of the remaining members sends this message
“….but before the crowds mass in Church Litten to light candles at this sad time, we will be carrying on and be back louder than ever hahah! And we would like to send all apologies to the organisers of tomorrows Riverfest that we were due to play….”
We hope to see the band increase to a four piece again soon and bid a sad and fond farewell to singer/songwriter Scott Wilson.
