Movie Drive In with cars in front of screen

Wessex Cancer Trust’s Drive-In Films for Christmas returns with a choice of six films

A firm favourite in the Isle of Wight’s festive calendar, Wessex Cancer Trust’s Drive-In Films for Christmas, will return at the end of November.

Tickets have today (Thursday) been released for Drive-in Films for Christmas, which will feature six epic festive films screened over two days to raise money for Wessex Cancer Trust.

The charity has secured the support of headline sponsors Hose Rhodes Dickson, Find Us On Web and ICRTouch to host the event in the car park at Robin Hill on 20th and 21st November.

What’s screening
The films to be screened on the Saturday are The Polar Express, How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Love Actually, while, on Sunday, Elf, Home Alone and The Holiday will be aired on a giant LED screen, with the soundtrack played through each car radio.

Regional Fundraising Manager Lorraine White said,

“The Christmas drive-in is a real highlight in our fundraising calendar and so many people tell us it has become a family tradition for them, too!

“For many, it now signifies the start of Christmas and what better way to get the season started than with a family trip to our drive-in cinema to see your favourite festive film?

“We’re always blown away by the popularity of these events and we’re sure this year’s Christmas drive in will be yet another sell-out success.

“Thank you to everyone who supports Wessex Cancer Trust by coming to our fundraising events, we could not continue to help Island families without you.”

Fundraising for Wessex Cancer Trust
All money raised will help Wessex Cancer Trust support Islanders living with cancer.

Tickets for each screening are limited and are available online. The earlybird price is £25 per car.
