If you haven’t made plans for Sunday evening yet, read on for details of a charity gig taking place at Rookley Country Park on Sunday evening.
Watching “Transatlantic Sessions” on BBC4 has inspired the now fiddle-less “Smoke and Mirrors” to make their own link across the pond, to hire an itinerant Dobro and pedal steel player by the name of Dave Godby, and to relaunch the band as “Westward”.
On Sunday evening, Jen, Sarah, Martin, Tim, Brian and Dave will be playing music ranging from Celtic to Country, with a dash of English folk on the way, in aid of The Lucie Blackman Trust – Missing Abroad Programme.
Missing Abroad provides practical support for families with a loved one missing, murdered or in trouble overseas.
Tickets are just £5 and are available from Clare at Rookley on (01983) 721606 or [email protected].
