After their UK success yesterday, by reaching the number one spot in the UK Album charts in the first week of their debut self-titled album, Wet Leg are now top of the ARIA Official Album Chart in Australia.
As previously reported by News OnTheWight, the album has received some incredible reviews from around the globe and resulted in high profile interviews, including this week’s with filmmaker, Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, The Sparks Brothers, etc) released on Interview Magazine’s Website.
Who is Wet Leg?
The band from the Isle of Wight which is made up of Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, along with Ellis Durand on bass, Henry Holmes on drums and Josh Mobaraki on guitar and synth.
They signed a record deal with Domino Records in early 2021, releasing their catchy ear-worm, Chaise Longue the same year. Followed by another five singles before the album launch, Wet Leg have attracted high praise from all corners of the globe.
