The much anticipated snow that has been long-promised by weather forecasters doesn’t appear to have settled on the Island overnight.
We saw some of the white stuff falling while driving on Brading Down last night, but by the time we’d got back towards Ventnor, it was more like light rain than snow.
The Island’s Social media let’s us know
We put a call out over the social networks and the response we’ve had back so far is that the Island appears to be snow free currently.
So far VB readers have reported no snow in the following areas – following Carisbrooke; Cowes; Ryde; Newport; Bembridge; Sandown; Freshwater; East Cowes; Arreton; Freshwater; Shanklin.
Looks like Gunville has a little. Andrew Mayne “A light dusting of snow on cars in Gunville.”
