There is a real buzz in the air as the The White Air Extreme Sports Festival draws ever closer.
Less than a week to go and we’ve got news for you every day this week, in the run up to one of the most exciting sporting events of the year.
If you’ve been to the festival before, you might’ve noticed that there are lots of ‘HAVE A GO!’ activities. This year, the festival brings you even more and as part of a BBC programme, celebrity sports stars Colin Jackson (pictuered) and Phil Tufnell will go head to head at ‘HAVE A GO’ activities early next week. They will be trying out some of the more radical extreme sports White Air has on offer.
If you fancy trying something new yourself, some of the ‘HAVE A GO’ activities during the week include learning the art of Mountain Boarding and ride the hill, or join in the Skate clinics, Parkour and the art of free running, Thundercat Powerboats, Paragliding, Winddisc, or learn the basics of Kitesurfing, Windsurfing and Surfing, have a go on the Mountain Bike trials course, introductory in Land Yachting, or even to have a go at Paddle Surfing, try the Aqua Skipper, Paramotoring, Flyjumping, Land Windsurfing or the new sports of Speedminton and the Camtrike!
As if all that wasn’t enough, one of White Air’s sponsors, Merrell shoes have some of their excellent products you can try out whilst climbing the RAF wall!
If, like me, you’re not able to be quite so active, perhaps you can try your hand at the Graffitti workshop (went down really well at the StreetStyle Festival a couple of weeks ago), the Freequay Tent or Digital Dj Mixing with the top pro’s! [image courtesy of Welsh Athletics]
