WightFest Debut Tomorrow

There’s so much going on this weekend, make sure you don’t forget WightFest which takes place tomorrow in Cowes.

WightFest 2009The all day charity music event features some of the best Isle of Wight music talent and all proceeds go to charity, so you can feel good about yourself as you bask in the sun listening to great live music.

Soak up the atmosphere at the Cowes Community Club from noon onwards and expect to hear sets from the likes of Reverb, Folsom Prison Blues Band, Shoot the Moon, Sundown City, PDQ, Papa Do Plenty, The Kurves, Gweido and The Chancers.

The Venue
The event will be held at the IOW Community Club, Park Road, Cowes.

There is ample free parking on site.

Getting there
There is easy access to the club if you are travelling from the mainland via Southampton. The Red Jet catamaran service docks at Cowes, then the club is a mile walk straight up the road from the pontoon.

There are buses that stop right outside the club (Service No 1 to Newport – note that there are two routes for this service – use the one identified ‘via Round House’ – the ‘wrong’ one is identified ‘via Park & Ride’!).

Taxis are normally readily available from the pontoon. It may be possible to arrange lifts if anyone needs assistance, contact the organisers if you are in any doubt.
