A six point or more win tonight will see them claim those points and move up to fourth place in the league table with matches in hand over the three teams currently above them.
Three out by injury
Team news is that with three of their current side ruled out by injury, co-promoters Chris Hunt and Kevin Shepherd have drafted in Kent’s Steve Boxall to ride in place of Tom Perry, Kyle Hughes from Stoke deputises for broken foot victim Brendan Johnson.
King’s Lynn are a very strong side so it promises to be one of the matches of the season as both sides look to consolidate their bids for places in the end-of-season playoffs for the title that will feature the four top sides in the final league table once all matches have been ridden.
Teenage prospects
Much interest tonight will be focussed on the duels between two of the finest teenage prospects in British speedway at present, our own Adam Ellis and King’s Lynn’s Robert Lambert.
As usual once the tapes rise there’ll be no love lost between the two sides so do come along and enjoy what promises to be another great evening of racing at Smallbrook.
A reminder that the on track action gets underway at 7pm and the big question is can the Wightlink Islanders get the win they need to move up the National League table?
Why not come along and find out!
