Last Saturday afternoon, the Wight Search and Rescue (WightSAR) medic team were flagged down outside Shanklin Conservative Club when passing in their ambulance.
A member of the general public asked for their help for a lady who had fallen and suffered a very serious head injury.
The lady was given oxygen and immediate medical treatment, which WightSAR were told saved her life.
The medic team were thanked by Ambulance control for their swift actions and dealing with the casualty until paramedics arrived on scene.
