The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary in Sandown is hugely excited to announce that they have been named as finalists in this year’s Beautiful South Awards, which celebrate excellence in the tourism sector for Southeast England.
The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary is a finalist in the Large Visitor Attraction of the Year category, while the Wildheart Cafe is a finalist in the Cafe and Tearoom of the Year category.
Prestigious Beautiful South Awards ceremony
The Wildheart team will find out if they have won gold, silver or bronze in both categories at the prestigious Beautiful South Awards ceremony, which will be taking place at The Grand Brighton on 10th December.
If they win gold, they will also have the opportunity to compete nationally and represent the Southeast at the 2025 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, the “highest accolades in English tourism.”
This comes just weeks after the Sanctuary won the Gold Award for Best Large Attraction at the Red Funnel Isle of Wight Awards.
Bates: Up against fierce competition
The Sanctuary’s CEO, Lawrence Bates, said,
“It’s a massive achievement for our team considering the fierce competition we were up against and is a true testament to the hard work of our staff and volunteers over the past year.”
