Ross Williams windsurfing in Monks Bay by Paul Knights

Windsurfing champion, Ross Williams, tests choppy waters off Bonchurch (photos)

Our thanks to News OnTheWight reader and contributor, Paul Knights, for sharing these fantastic photos taken on Tuesday.

Having popped out for a walk along the front to Bonchurch on Tuesday, Paul explained that he came across a couple of windsurfers who had launched from Monks Bay.

Windsurfing champion
Paul managed to capture these great shots of windsurfing champion, Ross Williams, whose name you might recognise from his recent record-breaking wing foil around the Island in September.

After spotting fellow photographer and Ventnorian, John Carter (dubbed the ultimate windsurfing photographer by SurferToday), it was confirmed that Ross was one of those enjoying the choppy waters off the south coast of the Island.
