Campfire sessions

Campfire sessions are your chance to get involved in ‘Shaping the Bay’

The Bay Coastal Community Team’s Shaping The Bay public consultations are making their way round the Bay!

There are a choice of sessions you can attend. Take a look below and pop a date in the diary.

The Bay Busking Session & Firepit Forum – Lake
Sunday 29th November 2pm – 4pm
Help shape the Bay at our pop-up Firepit Forum at Morrisons right bang in the middle of Lake!

As well as an acoustic set by musician Spike Oatley, we’ll be there collecting your ideas for how to make the Bay the best it can be. Come along to share your thoughts and aspirations and transform your Sunday food shop!

Lake Morrisons, Newport Rd, Sandown, Isle of Wight PO36 9PA

*If you can’t make it on the Sunday, What If postcards will be available from the Morrisons Cafe on Saturday 28th November…. Just fill one in and pop it back in the collection box, thanks!

The Campfire Sessions & Firepit Forum – Shanklin
Saturday 12th December 5pm – 9pm
The Bay Coastal Community Team’s Shaping The Bay public consultations are making their way round the Bay!

Join us around the campfires on Small Hope Beach, Shanklin to listen to live music, cook up marshmallows and ideas, tell stories of bygone days and help shape a new future for the Bay. Whether you’re five or 105 don’t miss a chance to take part in this musical fiery forum by the sea!

There’ll be live acoustic and original music brought to you by Spike Oatley Music and friends plus other special winter specials including art with Hannah George – Makings, plus warming refreshments at the new Salix Cafe alongside.

Arc and Eccleston George will be there on behalf of the Bay CCT to collect your thoughts and aspirations… what you love about Sandown Bay and what you believe would make it even better. So feel free to come along inspired with ideas to draw, write, fill in a postcard… or just hang out by the fire and stare at the stars!

Live music from Lewis Shepperd, Emma Wilkinson, Becky Rice, Paul Armfield

All ages welcome! Don’t forget to wrap up warm!

Find us alongside Salix Cafe, Small Hope Beach, Hope Hill, Shanklin P037
