Isle of Wight Day is fast approaching (it’s this Saturday) and many events have been organised across the Island (more on that later).
The team behind Isle of Wight Day are determined to create a lasting record of the first Isle of Wight Day.
They are planning to produce a coffee table book of photographs taken over a 48-hour period during Friday 23rd and Saturday, 24th September 2016.
Photographs of Islanders taken by Islanders
High Sheriff, Robin Courage, who is spearheading the event, said,
“This will be a unique collection of photographs of islanders at school, at work, at play and at leisure.
“This is not a book of pictures of our beautiful Island (there are already many of them) but a book of photographs of Islanders taken by Islanders.
“We are hoping that we will receive thousands of pictures, which we will publish in a special edition, beautifully laid out, perfect bound coffee table book, which will be available to buy in time for Christmas this year. All profits will be donated to the Isle of Wight High Sheriffs’ Trust.”
