Book now for Dracula event on Friday at Dimbola

Don’t forget this Friday sees a Dracula themed event take place at Dimbola Museum and Galleries.

If you missed great grandson of Bram Stoker, Noel Dobbs at this year’s Isle of Arts Festival, you have another chance to hear his fascinating insight into the territory – the story – the meaning of one of the most famous books ever written, Dracula.

The evening begins with an illustrated presentation revealing:

  • Who was the man Bram Stoker?
  • His close connections with the Isle of Wight
  • Where the original book is set
  • What are the origins and deeper meanings behind it

This is followed by a buffet and social evening.

And there’s more
Get into the spirit of the event and come dressed as Dracula, a vampire, period costume, or “as you please”.

There will be a prize for the best costume, so you might want to make the effort.

There’ll also be readings by Brian Hinton and Verrall Dunlop and the price of the ticket (£12) includes a welcoming blood cocktail!

Refreshments will be available throughout the event with wine by the glass and bottle.

Limited places, so book now
It all takes place from 7pm on Friday 2nd November 2012. Due to the size of the venue, numbers are limited so advance booking necessary. Call 756814 (Dimbola Lodge) to make your reservation.
