Sewing volunteers needed for last 200m of Christmas bunting for Ventnorville

Ventnor is a hive of activity at the moment, with local businesses and the community gearing up for Ventnorville – Ventnor’s Christmas shopping day on Saturday 13th December.

Bunting making workshops
Volunteers have already made a staggering 500 metres of Christmas bunting that will be hung up around town, but they still need to make around 200m!

As you can imagine, they’re keen to have as much help as possible.

If you’d like to help out there’ll be two more sessions before the big day, the first on Friday 21st November (that’s tomorrow) between 10am-midday and the second takes place on Wednesday 26th November from 1pm for all afternoon.

What to take and where
If you have a sewing machine it would be helpful for you to take along, although there will be some available for those without. If you can’t sew, then fear not, as you help out by cutting out bunting shapes instead.

Please also remember to take along your own pinking shears/scissors, as available fabric scissors will be very limited.

The sewing sessions take place at St Andrew’s Hotel in Belgrave Road. The hotel has fabulous views looking over the bay, so you’ll be sewing with a seaview!
