Have your say in shaping the Isle of Wight’s wildlife future

New plans for wildlife are being produced by all 48 counties of England this year.

These Local Nature Recovery Strategies (LNRS) will map the areas already known to be of importance for biodiversity, agree priorities for conservation action, and opportunity sites where new work can happen.

Island Nature is the LNRS project for the Isle of Wight and you can find it on Facebook  and on its website.

Your input counts
Local Nature Recovery Strategies rely on the knowledge and experience of all stakeholders, whether nature conservation charities, farmers and landowners, or the business community, and the views and opinions of the people who live and work in the plan areas are equally relevant and important.

Share your views
Island Nature is inviting you to have your say via an online questionnaire and also at a series of drop-in Zoom sessions starting this coming Sunday 28th April and continuing on the 5th, 19th and 26th May.

The Sunday sessions (link) and they all run from 4pm to 5.30pm.

Drop-in Zoom sessions
The Sunday drop-ins are a chance to ask any questions you might have about the LNRS, and to let the team know what you think are the most important priorities for wildlife on the Island, and the places where you think conservation work is most needed.

Do join in and help Island Nature plan for a better,  wilder future!
