Earl Mountbatten Hospice chief executive Jo Blackburn was presented with a cheque for £2,365 by staff from The Cedars pub in Wootton during the hospice Christmas Fair last week.

Staff have been supporting Earl Mountbatten Hospice for more than 20 years, through a variety of events including quiz nights, live auctions, BBQs and concerts.

Sarah Whitewood, Cedars licensee, said:

“Many of our locals have in some way been touched by the Hospice. It’s a very deserving charity, and we are extremely proud, along with our customers, to be able to offer our support to such a brilliant, Island-based cause.”
