Become a Friend of Mountbatten and help support Islanders in need

A new initiative aimed at bringing people together to support Mountbatten has been officially launched.

The Friends of Mountbatten is a group of like-minded people who want to help the charity support Islanders through death, dying and bereavement.

An introductory event was held last summer and the ambition in 2024 is to welcome many new members.

Lady Kate Cheshire, Chair of Friends of Mountbatten, said,

“Mountbatten is an exceptional charity, giving support to so many people.

“Whether it be a person nearing the end of their life or a family member or friend who needs emotional support, Mountbatten can help.

“By becoming a Friend, you can support and influence the worthwhile work Mountbatten does.

“By giving them a guaranteed income, it can help Mountbatten continue to develop their services for the growing number of people who need them on the Island.”

A yearly membership for an individual costs £60 and for couples, it is £100.

Members will receive a Friends of Mountbatten pin badge and car sticker, posted to them once signed up, and the chance to attend two exclusive events during the year.

Early opportunities to sign up for Mountbatten events will also be available.

Lady Cheshire said,

“I was honoured when I was asked to become the Chair of the Friends and it would be so appreciated if you could join me in supporting this amazing charity.”
