IW Radio are reporting the body of a man aged in his 50s had been found.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary confirmed they have closed a farm track leading off Dodnor Lane in Newport this morning.
The death was not being treated as suspicious and next-of-kin were being informed.

Hampshire Constabulary was called at 8.55am this morning to a report of a sudden death at Dodnor Lane in Newport on The Isle of Wight.
The body of a man in his fifties was subsequently located. The death is not being treated as suspicious and police are currently informing next of kin.
A file will be prepared in due course for the coroner.
