Volunteers sought for new Red Squirrel shop in Ryde

This in from Helen from the Wight Squirrel Project, in her own words. Ed

After a long search for the right premises, local charities The Red Squirrel Trust & Wight Squirrel Project, are opening a shop in Ryde High Street in May.

It’s NOT a secondhand shop, but it is a drop-in base for members of the public to come in and speak to us, something that we have been asked for over the years.

Share your photos and stories
People are invited to bring in their photos of red squirrels and tell us about them. We will display your pictures in a small gallery if you wish. We will also sell red squirrel merchandise and give out advice, leaflets, and newsletters.

If you are a reliable person who lives in the Ryde area and would like to volunteer to help run the shop, Helen would love to hear from you. Training will be given.
