Primary school in Special Measures can now appoint newly qualified teachers

Oftsed inspectors visited Barton Primary School last month and have today released their latest findings.

The school was placed in Special Measures in June 2013 and this was the fifth monitoring visit since then.

The inspector has informed the head teacher,

Having considered all the evidence I am of the opinion that at this time:

The school is making reasonable progress towards the removal of special measures.

The school may appoint newly qualified teachers before the next inspection.
