Ryde Harriers take on ten mile club championships

On Tuesday Ryde Harriers held their 10 mile Club road race championship in perfect conditions over a five mile two lap course taking in Ryde seafront and Seaview.

The winner in a time of 65.50 was Simon Newman and in second place and first V40 in a time of 71.02 was Simon Spencer and third spot went to Sam Cleare in a time of 73.31. First V50 in a time of 73.35 was Andrew Lewis and first V60 in a time of 78.05 was Graham Maitland. First V70 back in a time of 82.33 was Jonathan Norton.

The ladies race over the same course was won in a time of 74.01 by Tracey Dillon, second place and first V45 was taken by Elaine Parry in a time of 78.32 and third was Rosie Eldridge in a time of 80.41.

Sixteen guests also joined in and the first home of those was Andrew McArthur in 65.29 and first lady was Elaine Harris in a time of 78.10.
