Congratulations to Islander Luke Ellison for making the front cover of this months Wessex Muse Magazine.
Luke’s work has been chosen to adorn the cover of the magazine and shows the collection of coastal images that you might have seen at his Coastal Abstraction exhibition at Quay Arts last year.
More recently, Luke has had these images transferred onto enamel frames and having had the pleasure of seen them in the flesh (so to speak), can confirm they look spectacular.
Luke not only has the honour of the front cover, but also a two page spread in the mag, which explains how the Coastal Engineer from Bembridge got into art and photography.
Joining Luke in the issue are features on other Island artists John Reilly, Lisa Traxler and Jason Heap, as well as many others mentioned in general IOW Artist articles such as Erik Phipps, Frances Doherty, Holly Maslen and Lil Nutter.
Congratulations to you all and well done for representing the Island so well.
You can normally find a copy of the magazine in the Quay Arts Cafe.
There is another round of Open Studios taking place from Friday this week in the North Wight which include many of the above artists.
