Another three months go by and we’re pleased to be able to offer readers an update on the restoration of Totland Pier.
We’re told that a further planning amendment is currently being processed, via the cafe’s tenant, who has requested a planning easement on one aspect of the conditional approval.
Cafe demolition re-programmed
The demolition and rebuilding of the cafe has been reprogrammed to start on 1st November 2012.
It is hoped that the main pier construction will follow shortly thereafter.
As with many developments, other things may get in the way along the way, but those responsible say they will keep up informed of any changes to that timetable.
