Kendall and Josh:

Cent Cols Challenge for IW Chemo Unit and Cancer Research UK

Close family members being struck by Cancer is the inspiration for two young men who will be attempting the ‘Cent Cols Challenge’ in the Dolomites, Italy in September this year.

Ventnorian Kendal Noctor and his friend, Josh Greet, are currently in training to take on the 2,000 kilometres ride, over 100 Cols (mountain climbs) in ten stages.

Five and a half times the height of Mt Everest
Over the course of the ten-day challenge, they’ll be ascending the equivalent of five and a half times the height of Mount Everest.

They hope, in the process, to raise awareness and lots of money for the Isle of Wight Chemo Unit and Cancer Research UK.

June Ventnor challenge
In preparation for their mammoth ride in September, on Saturday 29th June the lads will be riding from Ventnor Beach up to Ventnor Downs 20 times, to reach a total ascent of 15,000ft.

The aim of the challenge is to raise awareness and hopefully extra sponsorship.

You can follow the progress of the lads through various means:

They’ll be blogging on Tumblr, updating their Facebook page and sending out tweets.
