A pedestrian was knocked over by a car at 11 o’clock this morning.
It’s understood that this occurred on the Medina Way exit ramp that leads to Lidl in Newport.
At 1pm Police reported again that Medina Way would be closed for an estimated four hours while they deal with the investigation.
Many people have been caught in the traffic jams that have emanated around Newport town centre, including Carl Crawley, who, once he had reached his destination about an hour ago on his motorbike, took time to draw a map of the areas that he thought were affected.
